Privacy notice
What happens to the details you send us through the enquiry form. Plain language, and nothing we do is left out.
Who we are
Alternative Tech Solutions Ltd is a private company limited by shares, registered in Nigeria with RC number 9783378, with its registered office at No. 15, Ezeobi Street, Alapere, Lagos State, Nigeria. For the data described here, we are the data controller.
You can reach us about anything in this notice at info@alternativetechsolutions.org.
What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form on this site:
- Your name
- Your company name
- Your work email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to give it
- What you need help with
- The message you write to us
We do not run advertising trackers, analytics or third-party marketing pixels on this website, and we do not set cookies for those purposes.
Your light or dark theme choice is stored in your own browser. It never leaves your device and is never sent to us.
Why we collect it, and on what basis
We use your details for one purpose: to respond to the enquiry you sent us, and to carry on that conversation if you want to. We do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for their own marketing.
Our lawful basis is your consent, given by ticking the box on the form, together with our legitimate interest in replying to a business enquiry that you started. You can withdraw consent at any time and we will stop.
Who else sees it
Enquiries are delivered to our mailbox through Resend, an email delivery service, and the mailbox itself is hosted on Google Workspace. This website is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard request data such as IP address and browser type to serve pages and protect the service against abuse.
All three act on our instructions. Some processing may take place on servers outside Nigeria; where that happens we rely on the contractual protections those providers offer to keep the data secure.
How long we keep it
If the enquiry does not lead to work, we delete it within 24 months. If it does, we keep the correspondence for as long as we work together and for the period afterwards that Nigerian tax and company law requires us to retain business records.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data of yours we hold, and give you a copy
- Correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete it
- Restrict or object to how we use it
- Withdraw consent you previously gave
Email info@alternativetechsolutions.org and we will respond within 30 days, at no charge. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Keeping it safe
This site is served over HTTPS only. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people at Alternative Tech Solutions who need it to reply to you. If a breach ever affected your data in a way that posed a real risk to you, we would notify the Commission and you, as the Act requires.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data, we will publish an updated version here with a new version number and date. This is version 1.1, dated 24 September 2026. Version 1.1 names Resend as the delivery service and adds the optional phone field.
